On behalf of all the faculty staff and lecturers, it is with great pleasure that I welcome you to the Faculty of Public Health of Universitas Sumatera Utara.

Assalamu'alaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh Welcome to the website of the Faculty of Public Health, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FKM USU). We are honored by your visit, hopefully you will continue to utilize this website to find and obtain information from us. This website was developed in order to provide a better platform for the sharing faculty activities, student and lecturer achievements, and various information about FKM USU. Currently, FKM USU offers 4 (four) study programs: the Undergraduate Program in Public Health, the Undergraduate Program in Nutrition, the Master's Program in Public Health Science, and the Doctoral Program in Public Health Science. FKM USU is the 10th faculty established at USU, and for the period of 2020-2024, its vision is "To Become an International Standard Faculty in Developing Public Health Sciences in the Tropics." The graduates of FKM USU are public health professionals who can contribute to various sectors, including the Ministry of Health, health offices, health centers, hospitals, clinics, relevant government sectors, the private sector, and non-governmental organizations (NGOs). Hopefully, through this official you can access the necessary information about FKM USU, one of the oldest public health faculties in Indonesia, especially in Western Indonesia. Our motto is "Moving for Advancement," and we are open to collaborating with various parties, both domestic and international, in efforts to advance public health development.

About Us

The Faculty of Public Health (FKM) at Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) is the 10th faculty established at USU. This faculty was officially founded on October 21, 1993, based on the Decree of the Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia No. 0736/O/1993. Previously, the foundation of this faculty began with the establishment of the Undergraduate Program in Public Health under the Faculty of Medicine at Universitas Sumatera Utara, which was established through the Decree of the Director General of Higher Education of the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia No. 11/DIKTI/Kep/1985 on March 20, 1985.
