Medan – FKM USU: In commemoration of its 33rd Dies Natalis, the Faculty of Public Health, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FKM USU), held a Free Health Screening (Cek Kesehatan Gratis/CKG) Roadshow across Universitas Sumatera Utara. The event was organized in collaboration with the Padang Bulan Community Health Center (Puskesmas Padang Bulan) and runs for one month across all faculties of Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU). The CKG Roadshow began on Wednesday, 7 October 2026, at 09.00 WIB at FKM USU. It was attended by the academic community of FKM USU, including lecturers, administrative staff, and students from the 2023–2025 cohorts. Participants received Body Mass Index (BMI), blood pressure, blood glucose, cholesterol, and uric acid examinations as an early detection effort for non-communicable diseases (NCDs) such as obesity, hypertension, diabetes, dyslipidemia (high cholesterol), and gout (high uric acid). This initiative supports SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), particularly in preventing NCDs and expanding access to affordable health services. The screening is integrated with the national Free Health Examination (Pemeriksaan Kesehatan Gratis/PKG) program through the SATUSEHAT Mobile application. Participants register and complete a self-screening in the app, bring their identification and ticket code, undergo the examination, and then monitor their results through the Rapor Kesehatan (Health Report Card) feature. The collaboration between FKM USU and Puskesmas Padang Bulan reflects SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals), while also serving as a hands-on learning opportunity for students and improving health literacy among the campus community in line with SDG 4 (Quality Education). Through this activity, FKM USU affirms its commitment to implementing promotive and preventive health efforts, starting with its own campus, in line with the spirit of The Era of Ultimate Excellence and Diktisaintek Berdampak.
