Knowledge is the systematic mastery of concepts, theories, methods, and/or philosophies of a specific field of study acquired through reasoning in the learning process, student work experiences, research, and/or community service related to learning. The intended learning outcomes related to knowledge for graduates of the Undergraduate Program in Nutrition are as follows:

| 1 | Able to understand the basic principles of nutritional science and their relation to biological science, anatomy and physiology, biochemistry, and the interactions of micronutrients and macronutrients. |
| 2 | Able to understand nutritional needs and the achieving of nutritional adequacy through the principles of balanced nutrition. |
| 3 | Able to understand food processing principles in relation to efforts to enrich food nutrition and the fulfillment of nutritional requirements in overcoming nutritional issues at both individual and community levels. |
| 4 | Able to understand various nutritional issues, including undernutrition and overnutrition, and their relation to various risk factors for nutritional issues and their impact on tropical health. |
| 5 | Able to understand various nutritional issues throughout the life cycle, understand the causative factors/risk factors, and their impact on growth and development, health conditions, work productivity, and quality of life. |
