The event was attended by FKM USU faculty members and featured guest speakers Joko Susilo, S.Kom., M.Kom., Secretary of the USU Human Resources Directorate, and Muhammad Khoirunnas Simangunsong, S.Kom., Head of the Subdivision for Employee Supervision, Control, and Development. In her opening remarks, the Dean of the FKM USU, Dr. Umi Salmah, S.K.M., M.Kes., emphasized that this event is crucial for the career development of faculty members at the FKM USU. She added that focused expertise will strengthen the quality of education, enhance research productivity, and expand community service, while also accelerating the attainment of higher academic ranks for faculty members.
The workshop began with a presentation by the speaker on the latest regulations regarding JAD promotions, the mechanisms involved, and the application process. During the first session, Joko Susilo also demonstrated how to calculate credit points for promotion using the latest features in the SISTER application, along with the documents that need to be prepared: “All documents must be in digital format; no physical copies are allowed.” In the second session, Muhammad Khoirunnas explained that a field of study is distinct from an area of expertise. The area of expertise is filled out manually during the JAD promotion process, in accordance with the latest regulations, which allow a single area of expertise to consist of multiple faculty members. The participants were very enthusiastic during the discussion session.
