Medan – FKM USU: Top Scientist Webinar on the subject of "Occupational Infections: Challenges in Outbreak Investigation" was conducted on Wednesday, March 12, 2025. Prof. Dr. Mohammad Saffree Jeffree, a lecturer at Universiti Malaysia Sabah, was the speaker for this webinar. Prof. Saffree delivered content that was pertinent to the webinar's subject matter, including strategies for enhancing the investigation of occupational diseases by facilitating access to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Dr. Eka Lestari Mahyuni, S.K.M., M. Kes moderated the webinar, which was witnessed by 228 participants from a variety of educational institutions and government health sectors in Indonesia. The event commenced with a speech by Prof. Dr. Dra. Ida Yustina, M. Si, the Dean of the Faculty of Public Health at the University of North Sumatra. She expressed her interest in the webinar topic due to the numerous Extraordinary Events (epidemics) that originate from the workplace environment. The webinar concluded with an enthusiastic Q&A session from the participants.
