Medan - FKM USU: FKM USU organized a Guest Lecture on "Disaster Management in Tropical Regions" on Saturday, July 31, 2021, inviting dr. Ridwan Gustiana, M.Sc. (Regional Health Specialist - Immunisation and Health Emergencies - UNICEF East Asia Pacific Regional Office), Dr. Haripin Togap Sinaga, B.Sc., M.C.N. (Lecturer at Department of Nutrition, Medan Ministry of Health Polytechnic of Health), and Sadar Ginting, S.K.M., M.Kes. (Doctoral Student in Public Health at Naresuan University-Thailand) as guest speakers. In her opening speech, the Dean of FKM USU, Prof. Dr. Ida Yustina, M.Si, mentioned that the study of tropical regions, including disaster management, is a key focus of FKM USU, which is derived from USU's competitive advantage, TALENTA. "Disaster-related material needs to be continuously disseminated to build the community's preparedness in facing disasters," said Prof. Ida. The event was moderated by Dr. Ir. Zulhaida Lubis, M.Kes. (Lecturer at FKM USU). The guest lecture was attended by FKM USU lecturers and students, as well as lecturers and students from other public and private universities in Indonesia.
