Medan – FKM USU: FKM USU student Vanecia Thania Ruth Pakpahan wins third place in the 2026 USU Outstanding Student Election (Pilmapres) for the Undergraduate category organized by the Directorate of Student Affairs and Alumni Affairs (Ditmawa) on April 9–10, 2026. This year’s USU Pilmapres is attended by 17 participants, consisting of 15 undergraduate students and 2 diploma students. The assessment process is conducted by seven judges based on three main aspects, namely creative ideas or innovative products, English language skills, and outstanding achievements. Vanecia, a 2023 FKM USU student, is selected to represent FKM USU in this year’s USU Pilmapres. The first-place winner comes from the Faculty of Economics and Business, while the second-place winner comes from the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology. The Director of Ditmawa USU, Prof. Dr. Ir. Agus Purwoko, S.Hut., M.Si., IPU, states that Pilmapres is part of student development at both the faculty and university levels. He also expresses hope that through the Pilmapres event, USU can continue to produce outstanding students who are able to compete at the national and international levels and inspire other students. Students who are selected as first-place winners will represent USU at the National Pilmapres scheduled for August 2026.
