Medan - FKM USU: FKM USU held "The 4th Public Health International Conference (PHICo)" over 2 days, September 17-18, 2021.  The PHICo is an annual conference held since 2016 by FKM USU. This 4th conference was held virtually due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The 4th PHICo adopted the theme "The Role of Public Health in Empowering Society in Managing Covid-19 Pandemic".

The Rector of Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), Dr. Muryanto Amin, S.Sos., M.Si., officially opened the conference. In his speech, the Rector emphasized that the theme chosen by FKM USU for the 4th PHICo is highly relevant to the global situation, namely the COVID-19 pandemic, which has impacted all sectors of life, including public health. The Dean of FKM USU, Prof. Dr. Dra. Ida Yustina, M.Si., in her remarks, expressed her appreciation to Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) and Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) for their cooperation in organizing the 4th PHICo.
