Medan – FKM USU: FKM USU organized an Art Performance as part of the implementation of the Project-Based Learning (PBL) approach for the Arts and Public Health Fitness course on Friday, June 12, 2026, at the FKM USU Hall. The event was attended by 575 students from various study programs across Universitas Sumatera Utara. The Seni dan Kebugaran Kesehatan Masyarakat course is a General Compulsory Course (MKWU) at USU, administered by FKM USU. The event was attended by dr. Rusmalawaty, M.Kes., the course coordinator, together with the teaching team consisting of Fadila Aini, S.K.M., M.Kes., Risanti Ropita Febrine Situmorang, S.K.M., M.Sc., and Inayyah Nur Fitry Sirajuddin, S.K.M., M.Kes. The program officially commenced with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, followed by opening remarks from dr. Rusmalawaty, M.Kes. In her speech, she expressed appreciation for the students’ creativity and encouraged them to continue engaging in regular physical activity and maintaining healthy lifestyles even after completing the course. Each class showcased a variety of performances, including aerobic exercises, traditional and modern dances, musical dramas, and singing performances, creating a lively atmosphere filled with enthusiasm and excitement. The event served not only as a final assessment component of the course but also as a platform for students from different study programs and faculties to strengthen social connections, enhance teamwork skills, and internalize the importance of arts and physical fitness as integral elements of public health promotion. Through this activity, students were able to demonstrate their creativity, collaboration, and understanding of the relationship between artistic expression, physical well-being, and public health, reflecting the core objectives of the Project-Based Learning approach implemented in the course
