Medan – FKM USU: A total of 184 students from the USU Faculty of Public Health Bachelor of Public Health Study Program participated in a three-month Thematic Field Study Program (KKNT) from August to November 2025 in Deli Serdang Regency. The send-off ceremony for the students from FKM USU to the Deli Serdang Regional Government took place at the Deli Serdang Regent's Office Hall on Tuesday (August 25, 2025), opened by the Assistant I for Government and People's Welfare of Deli Serdang Regency, Drs. Zainal Abidin Hutagalung, M.AP. The send-off was attended by the Head of the Public Health Undergraduate Program, Dr. Ir. Evi Naria, M.Kes, as well as the KKNT field supervisors. In his speech, Drs. Zainal advised the students to apply the knowledge they had gained during their studies. He hoped that the students' presence in the community would have a positive impact on changing community behavior. Similarly, Dr. Evi Naria advised the students to maintain the good name of the campus and university during the KKNT activities. The students participating in the KKNT will be spread across 4 sub-districts and 19 villages in Deli Serdang Regency, namely Beringin Sub-district (4 villages), Galang Sub-district (5 villages), Pagar Merbau Sub-district (5 villages), and Bangun Purba Sub-district (5 villages).
