Medan - FKM USU: One of the funding sources for implementing the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, particularly on research and community service, is the grant from the Directorate of Research and Community Service (DRPM) of the Ministry of Education and Culture. In collaboration with students, lecturers are encouraged to submit proposals relevant to their field of study to conduct high-quality research or community service that effectively addresses problems and advances knowledge. To motivate the academic community to prepare proposals for the DRPM grant in the 2022 academic year, FKM USU held a workshop on "Increasing Lecturers' Interest in Obtaining the Research and Community Service Grant from DRPM" on Monday, July 12, 2021. The guest speakers for this workshop were Prof. Dr. Erman Munir, M.Sc., Professor at FMIPA USU/ Higher Education Research Reviewer, Adhi Indra Hermanu, S.T., M.M (Associate Expert in Basic Research Policy Analyst, Ministry of Education and Culture), and Prof. Dr. Robert Sibarani, M.S (Head of USU Research Institution). In her opening remarks, Vice Rector 3 of USU, Dr. Poppy Anjelisa Zaitun Hasibuan, S.Si, M.Si, expressed that this workshop greatly supports the achievement of university performance indicators, particularly in research and community service. The Dean of FKM USU, Prof. Dr. Ida Yustina, M.Si, opened the event hoping that the proposals of lecturers and students of FKM USU will increase in the number of proposals funded from DRPM for 2022. The workshop was moderated by Dra. Syarifah, M.S ( lecturer of FKM USU.) The workshop was attended by FKM lecturers and lecturers from other public and private universities in Indonesia.
