Medan - FKM USU: The Faculty of Public Health of Universitas Sumatera Utara (FKM USU) signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with two health offices, namely the Health Office of Karo Regency in North Sumatra Province and the Health Office of Rokan Hulu Regency in Riau Province. The MoA signing with the Karo Health Office took place in Berastagi on June 23, 2021, between the Dean of FKM USU, Prof. Dr. Ida Yustina, M.Si, and the Head of the Karo Health Office, Drg. Irna Safrina S. Meliala, M.Kes. Meanwhile, the signing with the Rokan Hulu Health Office occurred in Pasir Pengaraian on June 29, 2021, between the Dean of FKM USU and the Head of the Rokan Hulu Health Office, dr. Bambang Triono. The cooperation focuses on implementing the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, including education, research, and community service. FKM USU has assisted both regencies in the Health Program Management Assistance Program in collaboration with the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia for eight months in 2021. The aim of this program, which started in March 2021, is to improve the quality of health development management in the regency. Both parties recognize the importance of synergy between academia and local government for effective health development activities, and therefore, this cooperation will be continuously implemented.
