Medan - FKM USU: FKM USU collaborated with the Health Office of North Sumatra Province, the Health Office of Binjai City, and the Binjai UPTD Elderly Social Services in a community service activity (PKM) on Tuesday (November 7, 2023). This event was part of the 30th anniversary celebration of FKM USU and commemorating the 59th National Health Day (HKN). In line with the target of the activity, the elderly who reside at the Binjai UPTD Elderly Social Services, the theme chosen for this PKM activity was “Healthy Elders, Happy Elders.” The event began with exercises for the elderly, which were attended by the elders, UPTD Elderly Social Services staff, and students and lecturers from FKM USU. Following the exercise session, the PKM included basic health checkups for elders, distribution of high-calcium milk, and sanitary kits to 196 elderly participants. Additionally, tree saplings were handed over and planted in the UPTD area. This collaborative activity was attended by the Head of UPTD Elderly Social Services, Muhammad Riza Fahrozi Nasution, S.H., M.H., the Head of the Health Office of Binjai City, Dr. Sugianto, Sp. OG, M.K.M., the Head of Public Health Division, Hamid Rizal, S.K.M., M.Kes., representing the Health Office of North Sumatra Province, and the Dean of FKM USU, Prof. Dr. Dra. Ida Yustina, M.Si.
