Medan - FKM USU: An international seminar entitled “The Role of Public Health in Achieving SDGs” was held as part of the 31st Anniversary celebrations of FKM USU on Monday (December 2nd, 2024). The seminar featured two speakers: Dr. Suhaily Mohdhairon (Public Health Medicine Specialist & Medical Lecturer, Universiti Sains Malaysia) and Prof. Dr. Rahayu Lubis, M.Kes., Ph.D. (Professor of Epidemiology, FKM USU). The event, which was inaugurated by the Dean of FKM USU, Prof. Dr. Dra. Ida Yustina, M.Si, took place in a hybrid format and attracted 462 participants from various agencies in Indonesia and Malaysia. Dr. Suhaily shared insights into Malaysia's experience in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), while Prof. Rahayu discussed the relationship between infectious diseases and the SDGs. The seminar was moderated by Dr. Ir. Evi Naria, M.Kes., Chairperson of the Public Health S1 Study Program at FKM USU.
