Medan - FKM USU: The number of professors at the Faculty of Public Health, University of North Sumatra (USU) has increased with the inauguration of Prof. Dr. Ir. Gerry Silaban, M. Kes., at the USU Professor Inauguration Ceremony on October 22, 2025, at the USU Student Center. The inauguration was conducted by the Chair of the Professor Council (DGB) Prof. Dr. Ir. Rosmayati, M.S., witnessed by the Rector of USU Prof. Dr. Muryanto Amin, S. Sos, M. Si. The event was attended by members of the USU DGB, the USU Senate, and the families and relatives of the newly inaugurated professors. The inauguration of Prof. Gerry Silaban brings the total number of professors at the USU FKM to 11 (eleven) people. Prof. Gerry Silaban has expertise in the field of Occupational Safety and Health Science. During the inauguration ceremony, he delivered a speech titled “Commitment, Consistency, and Integrity of Management in Monitoring the Work Environment for the Prevention of Work-Related Diseases.”
