Medan - FKM USU: Lecturers from Faculty of Public Health, Ecia Meilonna Koka, S.K.M., M. Kes., Winni R. E. Tumanggor, S.K.M., M.P.H. and Reni Novia, S.Gz., M. Gz. provided counseling on "Nutritional Content and Sanitation in Children's Snacks" at Ulun Nuha Islamic Elementary School, Medan, Thursday (22 February 2024). The lecturers were invited to the mid-semester activities of Ulun Nuha Islamic Elementary School, Medan. Participants in this activity were students from grade 1 to grade 6, totaling 345 people. Extension activities were carried out in parallel in 3 rooms. The material is about the concept of healthy and unhealthy snacks, sanitation of snack handlers and products, Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS) related to consuming snacks, information on the nutritional value contained in packaged snacks, and measuring children's nutritional status. These materials support the second goal of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), namely "to achieve food security and better nutrition", and the third goal, namely "to ensure healthy lives and support well-being for all people at all ages". Participants were very enthusiastic about participating in the activity as seen from their seriousness in following the material and their activeness in asking questions during the question and answer session.
