Medan - FKM USU: FKM USU held an online graduation ceremony for the fourth period of the 2019/2020 Academic Year on Monday (26/10). A total of 96 undergraduate graduates and 34 master's graduates participated in the event from their respective homes. The event was led by the Dean of FKM USU, Prof. Dr. Dra. Ida Yustina, M.Si, from the FKM USU Auditorium, attended by vice deans and the management of the master's and doctoral programs. This event marked the second time the graduation ceremony was conducted online during the COVID-19 pandemic. Agnes Angela Tepanie Siregar was recognized as the best graduate from the undergraduate program for this period, and Donna Theresia Simbolon was recognized as the best graduate for the master's program. Both were given the opportunity to deliver their speech during the event. In her opening remarks, Prof. Dr. Ida Yustina stated that the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, with no clear end in sight, requires collective participation from the public to adhere to the 3M health protocols: wearing masks, washing hands, and maintaining social distance. She emphasized the critical role of public health graduates in educating and motivating the public to follow these protocols to prevent COVID-19 transmission. "May your presence in the community bring meaningful contributions to improving public health, which is the ultimate goal of health development," said Prof. Ida.
