Medan - FKM USU: FKM USU held an online graduation ceremony for the first period of the 2020/2021 Academic Year on Friday, December 4, 2020. A total of 29 undergraduate and 2 master's graduates were sent off in this period. The ceremony was attended by the Dean’s Office, Heads and Secretaries of Master's and Doctoral Programs, as well as the heads of departments within FKM USU. In her speech, the Dean of FKM USU, Prof. Dr. Dra. Ida Yustina, M.Si., emphasized the critical role of public health in educating and motivating the community in adopting a clean and healthy lifestyle. "For instance, during the Covid-19 pandemic, implementing the 3M behavior—wearing masks, washing hands, and maintaining distance—remains the primary strategy for preventing transmission," she stated. Prof. Ida also highlighted the importance of public health communities maximizing their roles in prevention efforts and enhancing public health in alignment with the core business of Public Health Science. In this period, the best graduate from the undergraduate program was Krista Amelia Putri Silitonga, while from the master's program was Desy Nurbalqis.
