Medan – FKM USU: FKM USU officially conferred degrees on 237 graduates during the fourth graduation ceremony of the 2025/2026 academic year, held at the USU School of Public Health Auditorium on Friday, August 21, 2026. Of these, 223 were graduates of the Bachelor’s program, 10 from the Master’s program, and 4 from the Doctoral program. The graduation ceremony was opened by the Dean of FKM USU, Dr. Umi Salmah, S.K.M., M.Kes. Jasmen Manurung was named the top graduate of the doctoral program with a GPA of 3.95, while the top graduate of the master’s program was Khoiro Futri Ayumi, also with a GPA of 3.95. At the Bachelor’s level, L. Nava Nathaniela Sihombing was named the top graduate of the Bachelor’s Program in Public Health, with a specialization in Biostatistics and Demography, with a GPA of 3.98. Meanwhile, the top graduate of the Bachelor’s Program in Nutrition was Dinda Ratu Nayla with a GPA of 3.97. This graduation ceremony also marked the inaugural commencement for the first cohort of the USU School of Public Health’s Bachelor’s Program in Nutrition, signifying the graduation of the program’s first class. The Dean of the USU School of Public Health emphasized that the degree earned is not the end of the journey, but rather the beginning of a new status and set of responsibilities. Graduates are expected to always uphold the good name of their alma mater, never forget the sacrifices of their parents, and be able to apply their knowledge while upholding integrity and noble character. With the addition of this year’s graduates, the USU School of Public Health now has 9,176 undergraduate alumni, 2,256 master’s alumni, and 81 doctoral alumni. The graduates are expected to become healthcare professionals capable of applying their knowledge and competencies to improve public health. This also strengthens the USU School of Public Health’s contribution to SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being) through health development and to SDG 4 (Quality Education) through the development of competent and ethical human resources.
