Medan – FKM USU: FKM USU student, Hana Fakhirah Rani has achieved the title of First Best SDGs Ambassador of Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) 2026 at the SDGs Ambassador Selection of USU 2026, held at the USU Senate Hall, 3rd Floor, on Wednesday (29/7/2026). This achievement reflects students’ active involvement in supporting sustainable development initiatives within the USU environment. As an SDGs Ambassador, Hana is expected to serve as a catalyst, communicator, and role model in promoting and disseminating SDGs values among students and the wider community. Her achievement also aligns with FKM USU’s commitment to supporting SDGs Goal 3: Good Health and Well-Being through efforts to increase public awareness of health, disease prevention, and healthy lifestyle practices. Furthermore, Hana’s role contributes to the achievement of SDGs Goal 4: Quality Education by promoting education and enhancing literacy on sustainable development issues. Hana stated that the younger generation plays an important role in creating innovations that generate meaningful impacts for society. She also highlighted that students’ awareness and concern toward sustainability issues at USU continue to grow, as demonstrated by the enthusiasm of students participating in the USU SDGs Ambassador Selection 2026. The Vice Rector for Research, Innovation, and Cooperation of USU, Prof. Dr. Eng. Himsar Ambarita, S.T., M.T., stated that the achievement of the SDGs requires active involvement from all members of the academic community, particularly students as the future generation. Through this achievement, Hana is expected to inspire FKM USU students and the entire USU academic community to continue contributing through ideas, education, and concrete actions in realizing sustainable development, as well as fostering a healthier and more competitive society.
