Medan – FKM USU: The Faculty of Public Health, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FKM USU), conducted a Basic Workshop on the Use of the USU Learning Management System (LMS) on July 31, 2026, at the FKM USU Auditorium as part of its efforts to strengthen digital learning transformation. The activity was organized in collaboration with the Directorate of Digital Learning (DitDP) USU and attended by FKM USU lecturers to enhance their understanding and skills in utilizing the kelas.usu.ac.id platform as an effective, adaptive, and well-documented digital learning medium. In her opening remarks, the Dean of FKM USU, Dr. Umi Salmah, S.K.M., M.Kes., stated that digital transformation in education is no longer an option, but a necessity to improve the quality of learning. She emphasized that LMS is not merely an application, but a strategic platform to enhance learning quality, strengthen interaction between lecturers and students, and support the achievement of excellent education. Through this workshop, lecturers received training and hands-on practice in managing digital classrooms, uploading learning materials, designing course activities, and utilizing LMS supporting features. The activity is expected to improve lecturers’ readiness in implementing digital learning that is interactive, flexible, and oriented toward enhancing students’ learning experiences. The implementation of LMS also reinforces FKM USU’s commitment to supporting USU’s digital transformation agenda. Furthermore, this initiative contributes to the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Goal 4: Quality Education by strengthening lecturers’ competencies in delivering high-quality and sustainable learning, as well as SDGs Goal 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure through the advancement of technological innovation in higher education.
