Medan - FKM USU: The Faculty of Public Health of Universitas Sumatera Utara (FKM USU) conducted an online graduation ceremony for the third period of the 2019/2020 Academic Year on Thursday (2/7). The virtual ceremony was held amidst the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. 19 undergraduate and 4 master’s program graduates were sent off during the event. The low number of participants was due to the limited number of students registering for graduation, even though many had already passed their thesis examinations. The ceremony was conducted live, with graduates participating from their respective homes while the leaders of FKM were in the FKM USU Auditorium. In her opening remarks, the Dean of FKM USU, Prof. Dr. Dra. Ida Yustina, M.Si, said that history will document this online graduation ceremony. Even though it is not in person as it has always been done, the graduates are expected to celebrate with gratitude and joy. The title of Best Graduate for the undergraduate program was awarded to Miftahurrahmah El Hayati, while Ruth Novyna Carolyne received the honor for the master’s program graduates.
