Medan – FKM USU: Pusat Prestasi Mahasiswa Terpadu (Puspita) FKM USU organized a Career Development Seminar under the theme “Bridging Science and Industry: Elevating Public Health Careers through Occupational Safety and Competence” on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at the FKM USU Auditorium. The event was officially opened by the Head of the Undergraduate Program in Public Health, Dr. Sri Novita Lubis, S.K.M., M.Kes., and moderated by FKM USU faculty member Syafrina Ulfah, S.K.M., M.K.M. The seminar featured two speakers: Ivan Mirza, S.K.M., Owner of a company specializing in Occupational Safety and Health (OSH/K3) and competency certification, and Jasmine Pratiwi, S.K.M., Marketing and Sales Officer at the Indonesian Classification Bureau (Biro Klasifikasi Indonesia). The seminar aimed to prepare undergraduate Public Health graduates to enter the workforce by providing insights into the application of Public Health knowledge and the wide range of career opportunities available in both the health services sector and industry. During the sharing session, Ivan provided insights into career opportunities and emphasized the importance of professional competencies and certification. Meanwhile, Jasmine discussed career orientation and preparedness for working in the industrial sector. The event was expected to bridge academic knowledge with the actual needs of the workforce, enabling graduates to develop the readiness, competencies, and adaptability required in a dynamic professional environment. The seminar was attended by newly graduated FKM USU students, particularly graduates from Period IV of the 2025/2026 Academic Year.
