Medan - FKM USU: Two lecturers from FKM USU, Ir. Etti Sudaryati, MKM, Ph.D., and Dra. Nurmaini, MKM, Ph.D., organized a community service activity targeting members of the Family Welfare Movement (PKK) in Pangkalan Masyhur Village, Medan Johor Subdistrict, Medan City, on Wednesday, July 20, 2022. The activity included counseling and training for creative enterprises on utilizing food material powdering technology. This program involved a doctoral student from the Public Health Science Program and four undergraduate students from the Public Health Program of FKM USU, with 35 PKK members participating. The event was opened by the Head of Pangkalan Masyhur Village, Rivai Ramadhana Harahap, and the Chair of the PKK Mobilization Team, Wina Aggrina. Both expressed appreciation for this initiative and hoped PKK members would leverage it to develop creative businesses. On this occasion, the community service team also donated a powder grinding machine to the PKK group, which will be utilized to produce marketable processed food products and support supplementary feeding (PMT) for toddlers and pregnant women at local health posts.
