Medan - FKM USU: A Career Development Seminar with the theme “Shape Your Path: Build the Future Today” was held by the Integrated Student Achievement Centre (Puspita) FKM USU on Thursday (21 August 2025) in a hybrid format (online via Zoom Meeting and offline at the FKM USU Auditorium). The event was attended by FKM USU graduates who will participate in the fourth graduation ceremony of the 2024/2025 academic year. The speakers were FKM USU alumni Nadya Putri Febriansyah, S.K.M. (Community Engagement Lead CISDI), and Herwansyah, S.K.M., M.P.H., Ph.D. (Lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, University of Jambi). The seminar, moderated by USU FKM lecturer Izzah Dienillah Saragih, S.K.M., M. Epid., was opened by USU FKM Vice Dean I Dr. Umi Salmah, S.K.M., M. Kes.
Nadya Putri Febriansyah, S.K.M., shared tips on entering the workforce, including the importance of gaining experience before graduation, building personal branding, expanding networks as a source of information, and conducting research on the compatibility of jobs with one's interests and potential. Herwansyah, S.K.M., M.P.H., Ph.D., emphasized the importance of building a meaningful career in public health. Some of the points he conveyed included building a strong foundation, gaining experience early on, developing soft skills, expanding professional networks, seeking mentorship, and planning for the future in a focused manner.
