Medan - FKM USU: The Innovation Research Development Agency (BPRI) and the Institute for Scientific Writing Innovation and Intellectual Property Rights (LIPIHKI) held a socialization session at the Auditorium of FKM USU on Tuesday (13 July 2022). The target of this socialization activity was the Deans, Vice Deans for Academic Affairs, and the heads and secretaries of study programs from three faculties: the Faculty of Public Health (FKM), the Faculty of Medicine, and the Faculty of Nursing of USU. The event was opened by the Dean of FKM USU, Prof. Dr. Dra. Ida Yustina, M.Si, representing the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs. The Head of BPRI USU, Buchari, S.T., M.Kes., presented his work program themed "USU Enterprise" for 2022, which includes the Entrepreneurship Program, Career Development, Innovation Manager Development, and Innovation Product Commercialization. Buchari also shared data on innovative products and sociopreneurs from the USU academic community with potential for commercialization. Meanwhile, the Head of LIPIHKI USU, Prof. Dr. Erman Munir, M.Sc., addressed the current situation regarding USU lecturers' publications and citations, which are still low. LIPIHKI, as a facilitator, will assist lecturers in increasing the quantity and quality of scientific publications that receive national and international recognition and have intellectual property rights. The services provided by LIPIHKI include consultations and assistance in writing scientific articles. The session was closed by the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs of USU, Prof. Dr. Poppy Anjelisa Zaitun Hasibuan, M.Si, Apt., who hopes that the heads of study programs in all faculties will coordinate with the BPRI and LIPIHKI services to enhance innovative products and scientific publications among USU lecturers.
